Senior International Qualifications Evaluator – Professional Practice

We are looking for a Senior International Qualifications Evaluator – Professional Practice, to join our Qualifications Recognition Services (QRS) business unit.

QRS is responsible for the evaluation of overseas qualifications and comparing them to the New Zealand Qualifications Framework, including establishing the authenticity of the overseas qualification.

In this role, you will be responsible for researching, providing advice and recommendations on policies and procedures, including overseeing the maintenance and development of process maps, internal resources, and the QRS knowledge management system.

This role contributes to continuous business improvement by strengthening professional practice across the unit, providing advice on a range of emerging practice matters and supporting the implementation of policy and practice changes.

This role requires people who have:

  • A customer focussed perspective on practice, processes and systems improvement.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the New Zealand Qualifications Framework.
  • An international perspective in relation to the New Zealand education and training sector.
  • The ability to work independently with confidence and make sound professional judgements on complex issues and information in relation to national and international education settings.
  • Ability to plan and co-ordinate procedures and projects.
  • Highly developed communication skills, both oral and written, including presenting, negotiating, facilitating and report writing.
  • A proactive approach to an ambiguous and fast-changing environment.
  • Experience in collaborative policy development and decision-making.
