Editor

We are looking for an experienced editor to join the multi-talented publication team responsible for producing the NCEA and New Zealand Scholarship examinations. Our numbers are few – but our customer numbers are huge.

This role involves:

•    a mix of editing, desktop publishing, project management and administration

•    interesting and varied subject matter – no boring business reports!

•    work and play with the latest Mac technology, in a supportive team environment.

You will have:

•    excellent written communication and impeccable grammar skills

•    demonstrated ability to edit and re-write text in complex and varied subject areas, considering sense, clarity and fitness for purpose

•    a flair for layout and design that aids usability

•    proven experience with desktop publishing and web content management software, ideally in a Mac OS X environment

•    strong self-motivation, with an aptitude for juggling multiple priorities while maintaining focus under the pressure of immoveable deadlines

•    an appreciation of the value of peer review processes within a close-knit team.

Editing roles as good as this are rare in Wellington – don't miss out on this opportunity!
